a live video synthesizer in your browser
Best on a laptop · on a phone, try the live camera
One chain, four stages.
Every look is built left to right. Each stage works on what the one before it made.
-
01 STRUCTURE
Reshape the geometry.
ASCII, dither, edges, sketch — one effect at a time.
-
02 COLOR
Recolor what STRUCTURE built.
Thermal, nebula, split-tone — maps, unique looks, custom ramps.
-
03 SCULPT
Bend the colour space.
Rotate, twist, fold — the map you picked, run through a new path.
-
04 FX RACK
Light it, trail it, stack it.
Specular, feedback, trails — up to seven slots, last in the chain.
Made in JellySynth.
Four ways to play.
- SYNTH
- Build a look on any clip or your camera.
- TRACK PRO
- Follow blobs and objects, and give each one its own look.
- LIVE
- Perform it — audio-reactive, with a projector output window.
- TEXT
- Set captions in the frame and run them through the chain.
What is JellySynth?
JellySynth is a video synthesizer that runs in your browser. Load a clip or turn on your camera, and it redraws the picture live on your GPU: as ASCII, dither or one unbroken line, through thermal and nebula colour maps, with feedback, trails, datamosh and light on top. Every knob can follow an LFO or the beat of a track, and the result exports as an MP4.
- Who is it for?
- VJs, video artists and musicians making visuals — anyone who wants glitch, ASCII or analogue-synth looks without a node editor or a render queue.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. It runs in a desktop browser with WebGL2 and a GPU. Nothing is uploaded: your video is processed on your own machine.
- Can I use it live?
- Yes. LIVE mode reacts to the mic, a track or the video’s own audio, and opens a clean output window for a projector or a second screen.
- Is it free?
- Every effect is free. Pro adds 4K export without the wordmark, unlimited recording and presets, TRACK mode and cloud sync.
Free to start.
